Introduction:
Investing in cervical cancer prevention and control now improves health, saves lives, improves workforce participation and productivity, limits the financial burden of unexpected health costs from cancer on individuals and families, and has co-benefits that can help countries advance other human and social development objectives. Taking this background into consideration, we are planning to organize a cervical cancer summit in Delhi in the month of January 2026 to mark Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.
Main objectives:
1) To define a road map to achieve the WHO elimination goal of 90/70/90 for cervical cancer, by reviewing the scientific evidence, key policy options, and interventions that have proven successful in achieving cervical cancer elimination goals.
2) To identify gaps and barriers to the promotion of existing interventions for cervical cancer elimination.
3) To mobilize scientific and public health communities, civil society, and media.
